Fluorite - The Colorful Crystal from Around the World

Fluorite is an ancient crystal that was formed millions of years ago when hot water which contained fluoride bubbled up through cracks in the Earth and came into contact with limestone bedrock (not the same Bedrock from the Flintstones!). Fluorite is mainly found in South Africa, China, Mexico, Mongolia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Tanzania, Rwanda, Madagascar and Argentina.

In a small town called Castleton in Derbyshire, England, Fluorite is known as 'Blue John' due to its purplish-blue color!

Fluorite comes in many beautiful colors including purple, blue, green, yellow, or colorless but also more unusually pink, red, white, brown, and black.

If you are looking to increase your focus, place some Fluorite in the relevant area of your home or consider wearing some on a bracelet or pendant. Fluorite is also often reached for to help with decision-making and banishing any anger from your life.

When used in Chakra work, Fluorite is usually placed with the Throat Chakra. This stone is especially powerful for Capricorns and Pisces.
