Grape Agate - Get to know this botryoidal purple chalcedony!

Grape Agate may look good enough to eat but trust us when we say it's a regular crystal and not a fruity snack! The behavior of the lava surrounding regular crystals can cause some of them to behave irregularly causing this grape-like formation. This fun crystal mainly occurs in Indonesia but has also been found in Utah. This makes the crystal pretty rare considering the area it occurs in Indonesia, Mamuju, is quite small making the amount itself also quite small. Scientifically, Grape Agate is not actually an Agate but a botryoidal purple chalcedony (member of the quartz family) but let's be honest, that is quite a mouthful so we will stick to Grape Agate!

It is no coincidence that this crystal is named Grape Agate. It really does look like tiny bunches of grapes in a cute purple color, although sometimes you will see a variety of other colors like green and blue.

Grape Agate has a naturally warm energy that is excellent for meditation and calm. Think of Grape Agate as a comforting friend when you need one the most! This crystal brings us inner security and stability which is brilliant for coping with symptoms of anxiety.

Grape Agate can also be used with both the Crown and Third Eye Chakras too! It is said that if you sleep with Grape Agate on your bedside, you will gain more control over your dreams!
